"Rock On" was one of the great UK hits of the 70s--enterprising and innovative enough to stand the test of time. Sadly, the same can¹t be said for this, the former Cockney heart-throb's first collection of all new material in nine years. True to form, Essex drags out the Barrow Boy charm for songs like "Young In Heart" and the title track, but the production is too old school 70s rock, the sentiments too theatrical and hammed-up to convince any but the most ardent fan.
