Description
I really like this album, which is arguably more atmospheric than the ones BB has made with his Earthworks quartet; it's also got a more acoustic feel, thanks largely to Ralph Towner. Even when the wayward Oregonian switches to keyboards the music still has an acoustic feel. And Eddie Gomez's upright bass punches in effortlessly in a way that almost spars melodically with Bruford's drums while the guitar becomes the most rhythmic instrument in the trio. I'd really like to see these guys live: I expect they're even better than on this studio CD. This disc has really grown on me with repeated listeningsmore…
