The variety and range of Brubecks prolific talent is covered very well on this CD- (which is excellent value for a double CD.) Two tracks alone make it worth buying-(The Blue Dove- and Summer Song). I did not have any Brubeck in my collection, I had heard the famous "Take Five" of course and one or two others- so this was agreat way to discover his music. The quality of some of the early recordings is quite stunning, and the music seems to come alive-(many of the tracks were indeed recorded live!) The sleeve notes tell you most of what you want to know and I am so glad I have this in mymore…
