Dan Seals, Texas-born and raised, is a gifted songwriter and a commanding singer. He gets his musical talents honestly; his father was a musician, his uncle a hit songwriter. By the age of four, Seals could play the string bass and took a spot in the family band. In the '80s he won a number of country music awards, including Songwriter of the Year, Single of the Year, and Vocal Duet of the Year.
