Like that of every rock & roll star of the '50s, Fats Domino's claim to fame was made in the singles market. In fact, Domino had been recording hit singles at Imperial for eight years before the label released his first LP in 1956. Indeed, what's most interesting about Rock and Rollin' with Fats Domino (not to be confused with its follow-up, Fats Domino Rock and Rollin'), repackaged here with his third LP, This Is Fats Domino (not to be confused with his fifth LP, This Is Fats), is that the tracks were recorded over those eight years (beginning with 1949's "The Fat Man") and yet his style nevermore…
