Description
This is remastered collection of songs from her last album "Night in Manhattan". Her voice is still in prime form. She was unwilling to compromise herself and record inferior pop tunes. Her unusal voice was loved by a lot of Jazz musicians. This album contains the most lovliest cuts of her songs recorded with a very tasteful pianist and a small string section and I couldn't believe how appealing her voice is. In those days, the music was made and created not "manufactured" like nowadays. This last record of her also reminds me of records with a similar mood such as Billie Holiday's Lady in Satinmore…
