Word Records released singer and songwriter Cindy Morgan's debut album Real Life in 1992. The project, which greatly differs from her later CCM and jazz-influenced albums such as Listen and The Loving Kind, is a combination of Christian pop, adult contemporary, and R&B. Upon the release of Real Life, Morgan was primarily marketed as a dance music diva, very much the Christian alternative to Paula Abdul.
