Description
Chris Botti continues here pretty much where he left off from his First Wish album, even though the opening track, "The Steps of Postiano", promises a composer more confident and mature than last time round. Playing with a vast array of top session musicians, the trumpeter also uses the Native American drum extensively, a simple ingredient which deepens his message considerably. The basic recipe for his tunes remains the same: first, a catchy intro that modulates into a light groove , then Botti comes in, dabbing the sound picture with his bluesy, crystal-clear lines.
