Cirith Ungol - King of the Dead (1994) Retail CD
Description
I first heard this album many moons ago, around early 90's, when I think this was first released. Am American/ Canadian power metal band which much emphasis on all things Tolkein, as the name suggests. This album brings the bass guitar to the fore in a similar vein to the Apocolyptic Raids EP by Hellhammer who later evolved into the influential and much missed Celtic Frost. The production is clear and solid, but the bass to the fore sound does take a couple of spins to get used to. Buy this first followed by their next release "One Foot In Hell"
