Swiss band Eluveitie are a refreshing sound in the world of Folk Metal. They combine traditional celtic melodies and instruments with the classic Gothenburg melodic death style. The result is immense!
Each and every song on this album grabs you and doesn't let go. Whether its the haunting female vocals on 'Aidu', the roars of frontman Chrigel Glanzmann or the excellent use of Anna Murphy's hurdy gurdy this album is absolutely top notch - a perfect blend of folk melodies and crushing metal.
Definitely one of the albums of 2006.
