First up, I have to say I bought my first John Prine recording 30 years ago.( Ouch! That long ago?) He's never been far from my stereo since, whether on vinyl or CD. So this new recording is welcome after no new stuff for about 8 years or so.Sometimes when an artist releases material after an extended break from recording, it's just not as good as you remember. Not so here! I got this as a present after I mentioned hearing a couple of tracks on the radio. This is well up there with his best. After hearing it and then seeing him in concert, some of the songs just keep coming back intomore…
