Description

Roy Ayers and his ever-expanding Ubiquity finally received noteable commercial success with this 1975 funk classic. Guest vocalist Chicas shines on Ashford & Simpson's mellow "Take All The Time You Need", while "down-home" lyrics are sung with gusto on "Spirit of The Doo Doo" and "Life Is Just A Moment". Tight arrangements complement Ayers powerful vibes on the title track, "Evolution" and "The Black Five", the three instrumentals on this album. "Brother Green (The Disco King)" is the weakest track on the album with its dumb lyrics (Do it brother/Do it brother/Do it brother/Do it/Brother Greenmore…
