Description
I bought this CD a few weeks ago specifically for the two Paul Tremaine recordings. I just can't get enough of his band's "Aristocratic Stomp" with the hot *harp* solo (you have to hear it to believe it!). However, I was pleasantly surprised with the other selections on this disc as well. I'm a fan and collector of 1920s jazz and dance bands, but I wasn't expecting much from such names as Kay Kyser or the lesser-known bandleaders on this disc. Let me just say that you wouldn't recognize Kay Kyser from his recordings on this CD! All of the bands play with plenty of pep and the compilation presentsmore…
