Somebody must have written a new definition of the word "best". These recordings are not the hit versions, but dreadful recordings made later. These versions lack the charm and character that made the Bachelors popular in the '60s. If they had released these recordings, instead of the ones I remember from my childhood, they would have vanished without trace.

I have no problem with artists who want to have another go at a song - Neil Sedaka has had some success doing this with Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, for example, but he's up front about it. This CD, on the other hand, is a cynical attempt tomore… cash in on earlier popularity, because there is no warning on the packaging that these are not the hit versions; indeed, the use of "best" in the title implies that they are. Not even the track listing inside the packaging lists the date of recording. I'm disappointed that the artists would cooperate with this sort of thing.

Avoid this CD. Buy the versions you know, the versions that deserved the success they had.
