British and American fans remember Bonnie for It's a heartache (1978) and Total eclipse of the heart (1983) in particular, but also for a few other songs such as Lost in France and Holding out for a hero. Although the hits dried up, the quality of her music did not. I suspect poor management was responsible for the failure of her song, The best, to make any impact. Tina Turner recorded it a year later as Simply the best and the rest is history.No wonder, then, that Bonnie has mostly recorded in Germany since then, where her popularity is greatest despite continuing to record in English. This albummore… was recorded there in 1992 and may be described as typical Bonnie Tyler music.Right from the opening bars of Fool's lullaby, Bonnie's fans know that they are in for a treat. A consistently high standard is maintained throughout. Some songs titles may look familiar but don't be deceived. Daytime friends is not the old Kenny Rogers song, though the general idea of the song is similar. Similarly, there have been many different songs titled Call me, but I think this is yet another one.Bonnie is in top form throughout this album, whether singing passionate ballads or driving rock songs. If you enjoy Bonnie's earlier music, you will love this.
