Description
Having been an avid listener of Magnum in the early and mid eighties, I bought this album in the hope of something similar - big, pompous theatrical rock music with cutting, catchy guitar riffs and distinctive vocals. I was, however, pleasantly surprised to find a more cerebral, carefully crafted anthemic tour-de-force which I feel fully realises its Middle Earth title.It is music into which you can totally disappear, immersing yourself in dark, Tolkienesque imagery.Without a doubt, the best album that I've bought in a very, very long time.Good on ya Bob!
