The Bluetones' The Singles 1995-2002 is a pleasant riffle through the Britpop box of snapshots. Those few years spent in the back of the wardrobe (next to a knackered pair of Gazelles) have been kind to the 'Tones. Early classics "Bluetonic", "Cut Some Rug" and "Solomon Bites The Worm" positively sparkle with the carefree enthusiasm of those years and are still solid--these Hounslow gents do actually know how to rock, and often much more so than and without the pomposity of some of their Britpop counterparts.
