the European metal underground. Considering the quality
of their songs it’s hard to believe all the band members are
just between 16 and 19 years old!
OVERVIEW
A new wave of extreme bands is finding its way into the metal world! It’s not
just now that Metal Blade Records has started to support young talent within
the metal scene. Metal Blade has been involved in the breaking of up-andcoming
metal acts for 26 years now and has been stepping up the effort in 2008!
Along with the recent of success and of JOB FOR A COWBOY,
WHITECHAPELmore… and the development of AS I LAY DYING and THE
BLACK DAHLIA MURDER from buzz worthy local acts to global metal
institutions, ANIMA is poised to leave their mark as new metal extremists.
ANIMA formed in the summer of 2005 under the name of Metmachines, but
soon after renamed the band Anima. Committed to constant live performances,
ANIMA has played hundreds of shows throughout Europe gaining both
performance and song writing experience that will pay dividends on their
METAL BLADE RECORD debut.
