This album represented a major shift in the bands style. Moving away from the more laidback grooves of their (amazing) first album, this release showed a new direction in a career so sadly cut short by the death of the singer, Shannon Hoon. A really totally original work, this album is absolutely superb - i have not heard anything like this by anyone else, EVER. The tracks that really stand out - Mouthful of Cavities and St. Andrew's Fall are the more mellow songs, but the band show their ability to 'rock out' (man)(!) on tracks such as galaxie, 2 x 4, and wilt.
