Description
I have a fair knowledge of Irish history and gained even more last year when I visited Ireland. I had heard good things about this movie. I found it so brutal (probably realistically so) but focused on such a small portion of the Irish troubles (in just County Cork) that it was hard to follow.
The acting was excellent in this sad and tragic movie. I could have done with a bit less political preaching about 2/3 of the way through the movie, but it was worth watching.
