Description

Don't expect Wiseblood, or the Southern Rock influence on the bands last album American Volume dealer. For this album COC have dusted down Black Sabbaths 'Sabotage' and 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' and with that influence recorded a monstrous release that would have made Ozzy & Iommi proud.
The album starts off with a organ opening Sabbath Blues led number which crashes into a huge Iommi style riff, this sets the tone for the rest of the album. ITAOG Cruises along at a frenetic pace, helped by a couple of semi acoustic interludes with 'Rise River Rise' and a very scary & atmospheric sounding 'Crownmore… of Thorns'. Personal highlights are the tracks 'World Of Fire', with it's stunning guitar work at the end of the track, bringing to mind Randy Rhodes 'Mr Crowley' style tapping. the ultra heavy 'Paranoid Opiod' and 'Infinate War' (another huge guitar riff) The best however is saved for last with the title track 'In The Arms Of God', this track is a bone fide classic, one of the best tracks the band have ever recorded, Huge drums (the new drummer is a star), huge guitar, huge vocals, Metallica should do well to listen to it before recording their next album. But don't take my word for it buy a copy of the album and hear it for your self.
