Default 1 Giant Leap - My Culture (2001) Retail CD

Music > Singles > 1 Giant Leap - My Culture (2001) Retail CD
added on May 31, 2008, at 16:28 by Bustankle

New band on the block “1 Giant Leap” enlist two of the hottest artists at the moment for their single “My Culture” from their album, imaginatively titled “1 Giant Leap”.However, whilst their choice of album title is bland, this single is not. With the strong competent rap of Maxi Jazz, the voice behind supreme band “Faithless” and Robbie (man-with-the-Midas-touch) Williams, 1 Giant Leap will win over a whole new fan base and I am definitely one of them. After the disappointing release of “Braided Hair” late last year, this single should breath life into the sales of what is actually an incredibly innovative album. This deeply thought provoking track features a stunning video to make Bjork jealous, and whilst the theme is very current issue, the song’s loop and Robbie’s high chorus will keep you listening and interested, if heavy-themed music is not your thing. What do you contribute to your culture? Do we have one culture for Britain, or do we have many different cultures, living collectively in one place? “My Culture” or “Our Culture”? Interesting and somewhat taboo questions in today’s climate. And with these questions comes very cutting edge music and production. Whilst this is nothing new for Maxi Jazz, who with Faithless explores current issues all the time through Music and Video, this is a whole new area for Robbie and a well overdue venture for him. This is a must-have for all Faithless and Robster fans.
