After a couple of aborted attempts (the early 90s 'Sweet Insanity' and the mid-90s Wilson-Paley sessions), Brian Wilson finally got a second solo album into the shops. Brian shows he can still knock out top tunes like the single "Your Imagination", the summery & almost Kokomo-esque "South American" and the moving "Lay Down Burden" (Brian's brother Carl and his mother had recently both died). Personally I wasn't too keen on the album being filled out with remakes of 1963's "Keep an eye on summer" and 1965's "Let him run wild" (I think any remake should have been a B-side), and the production (jointly done with Joe Thomas) is overly smooth, but for me it's still definitely worth the price of admission.
