Default Draconian - Where Lovers Mourn (2004) Retail CD

Starting in 1994 and after writing several demos,Draconian finally release their debut album "Where Lovers Mourn" in 2003.This album offers us a fantastic blend of heavy, atmospheric and deeply emotional music.Their sound could be described as dark and melancholic gothic/death metal with excellent female vocals and very convincing male/brutal vocals.Although their roots are found in bands such as Tristania, Trail Of Tears and My Dying Bride, Draconian manage to create their own sound and their own sweet and depressing atmosphere. The compositions which are mostly mid-tempo(but never become boring!) show the signs of a very mature (both emotionally and technically) band. The guitars create great melodies, something that is enhanced by the beautifully used keybords. All in all, I advise you not to devoid your self of this seducing offering!Lay down and enjoy this trip!
