Less variation than vol 4 which some might see as a good thing (I don't entirely); less wit but more drive. CD1 is okay at first listen, but grows on you. The second disc, on the other hand, leaps straight for the throat and slackens off at maybe three points only to get a better grip. It demands attention up to the last beat and leaves you wanting to hear it again. No messing around here.
