Well, i had submitted a review for this a few days ago, but it would appear it's not going to appear on this page so this is another review that i hope actually makes it on...Extreme Euphoria...it was the defining sound of 2002 for me. Lisa Lashes pulled together an album of hard dance and hard house that consisted of the most banging tunes, the catchiest hooks, the best pacing of an album she's ever done (which is saying something), and it was just raw energy in a box. It put a grin across my face like nothing but her live sets have done.So it was with some trepadition i got my grubby little paws on this, Extreme Euphoria Vol.2 - could it ever live up to the original Extreme? Had there been enough material in the interviening 6-7 months to warrent a new album? Let me put you straight right now - it lives up to Extreme Vol.1 and perhaps pushes it a little beyond. There's a huge ammount of excellent tunes on here, though Track 1 'James Lawson - Energise' seemed a bit slow at first. Wrong! It's an excellent intro track, and when it breaks into track 2 you know Lisa is firmly at the helm in clear waters and she knows exactly what you want to hear before you yourself. The tunes, delivery and mixing are all sublime. Track 3 'Guyver - Man On The Moon' sent shivers down my spine as soon as i heard the legendary vocal (you WILL have heard it). The whole album delivers the same throughout. A great achievement for Lisa, a DJ at the very top of her genre, who just continues to improve. Frankly I'm worried as to whether i can actually handle the pace and excitement of Extreme Vol.3 if it ever appears...The best thing about the Extreme albums is it's absolutely clear that Lisa loves what she's doing just as much as you. A true talent and entertainer who is clearly living the DJ dream. That it comes through on the CD is a tribute to the quality of the album. If you like music with pace, attitude and energy you'll love this.
