There can be no doubting the fact that at the end of the seventies funk band Earth Wind & Fire were one of the biggest bands around and their influence can still be seen today with a host of rappers and dance producers sampling their music. This is their greatest hits album and includes some of the most memorable anthems of the whole disco era such as the classic disco tracks "September", "Boogie Wonderland", "Shining Star", "Getaway" and "Let's Groove" as well as the smooth ballads "Fantasy" and "After The Love Has Gone". I must say I'm too young to remember the band when they were together but through other artists sampling their work I have been introduced to their great work and really bought this album because of that and was amazed to see how funky they could get in the seventies. Overall it's a collection of some of the most groundbreaking music of all time and is a must have for any collection.
