This is a good film and I am surprised that it is because when I first heard that 50 CENT was going to star in a film I wasn't looking forward to seeing it but he pulled acting off. In his film debut, hip hop superstar CURTIS "50 CENT" JACKSON explodes across the screen in this hard hitting urban drama from director JIM SHERIDAN (IN AMERICA). Following a near fatal gun battle MARCUS (50 CENT) recalls his journey from orphaned street kid from the ghetto to making his mark in the drug trade to teaming up with a fellow ex con(TERRANCE HOWARD) for his shot at becomina a successful rap artist. I first saw this film at the cinema and liked it then I saw it on dvd for cheap so I bought it. The special features arn't upto much with a trailer and a making of called A PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST - THE MAKING OF GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN' All in all it's a really good film but the extras let the dvd down so buy it for the film and not the special features.
