A shot at Glory - A Mark Knopfler soundtrack.A Shot at Glory is a film about a Scottish football team and stars Ally McCoist. Mark Knopfler has written the soundtrack. Make no mistake; this is not your usual Mark Knopfler stuff. Traditional Scottish bagpipes, fiddles and whistles take up most of the CD. Knopfler only occasionally contributes his guitar and singing. It's more Runrig than Dire Straits. Nevertheless, it is very good. Dire Straits fans may not get what they were expecting but any fans of Celtic folk music will love it.Scottish folk music AND Mark Knopfler - what a good idea!Footballers in films - it'll never catch on.
