Ms. Williams is one of the great talents of today. She is gorgeous and sings beautifully. Ever since I saw her compete in the Miss America pageant years ago, I knew that she was a winner. This CD does not reflect that assessment.Although there are a few decent songs on it to showcase her immense talent, most are mediocre both melodically and lyrically, with the exception of "Save the Best for Last", which is a great song in terms of both melody and lyrics. It showcases Ms. Williams' talent to perfection. It is really the only track worth listening to more than once.While she does do justice to all the songs on this CD, most of the songs do not do her justice. She needs better material with which to work. Also, her talent is such that she does not need to be overdubbed, as she is here. Were it not for "Save the Best for Last", I would have rated this CD two stars. Come on, Vanessa. Give us a CD more worthy of you!
