1986 was the year that Roxette broke through with their 1st big hit 'Neverending Love'.....in Sweden anyway.The rest of the world had to wait until 1988 and the 'Look Sharp!' album.This however their very 1st album is a mixed bag of pop songs and ballads.It sounds a bit experimental but i think that's probably what made it sound as good as it does for an 80's synth pop album.it doesn't always work i never did and still don't like 'Surrender' but i like all the other tracks in some way.The upbeat numbers are the best but the trademark ballads are on good form here too even at this early stage in their career.A GREAT ALBUM
