Lara Fabian is a vocalist who is largely known in Canada where her french language albums have sold bucket loads, finally she has made her English language debut and it is worth the wait, although many people will compare her with Celine Dion as their voices are similar, Fabian writes most of her own material. The album is a mixture of ballards and uptempo tracks and on all 13 tracks her voice is suited to the material she has recorded. Paticular high spots include I Will Love Again a surefire club pleaser which has had success on the American club scene, You're not from here & Broken vow which give both Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand a run for their money. The quiet Givin up on you which was featured on the Dawsons Creek vol.2 soundtrack and the powerful love by grace.Lara's voice is strong and there is never a feeling that the production overpowers her performance, on the whole this a brilliant debut the only minor complaint being that there could have been a few more dance tracks produced by Brian Rawlings and the Rive Droite team and for that I have rated this CD four stars,however the end result shows that she deserves to join the ranks of singers such as Celine Dion and Anastacia and is deserving of global success
