Please increase the max file size for uploads.
I just tried to upload a cover and got an error because the file was to big. It only showed "Must be between %1 and %2. Your cover was %3" so I searched the forum and found the max size to be 5MB. Guess what I need to set in Photoshop to get below 5MB... Quality setting 0 (zero). And even then it's still bigger than 5MB. With swithing from Baseline to Progressive I finally got it to 4.8MB. IMHO 20MB is a much better limit for HQ uploads (my source file is 63MB PNG btw). |

The bigger the file size, the longer it will take to upload, especially if you have 4 or 5 cover parts per title. I'm sure you and members want to be able to upload and download covers as fast as possible.

Upload is my own thing, downloads are much faster and most important:
Quality > Speed |

I just noticed something funny.
You system recompresses the files, right? My 4.8MB image is almost 12MB now: http://www.allcdcovers.com/show/1676...etail_cd/front |

Sometimes files larger than 5md do get through, but this is the first time that I've seen a file this large on the site?

Your system does recompress the files. I noticed it on some of my older uploads and it was confirmed by someone (I think it was an admin).
And no, I uploaded the 4.8MB file. |

Has no one even considered allowing PNG as a format? In some instances JPG barely saves any space over PNG, while you lose considerable quality.
