Icehouse - Sidewalk (2002) Retail CD
Music > Albums > Icehouse - Sidewalk (2002) Retail CD
added on April 20, 2007, at 00:50 by allcdcovers| Icehouse was/is basically a vehicle for the products of the Australian musician Iva Davies. SIDEWALK was in my opinion Icehouse's best album (apart from the superb MEASURE FOR MEASURE). It was originally released in 1984 and resembles, to a fair degree, other popular artists of the time such as Bryan Ferry (eg Stay Close Tonight)and Simple Minds (eg Sidewalk) due to Iva Davies' astonishing vocal skill which changes dramatically from track to track! Probably the best song is 'Don't Believe Anymore' which features some great sax playing by Joe Camulleri. Another highlight is the rather Roxy-sounding 'Dance On' which presumably was a single not featured on the original LP. | |
