Waiting for the Amazon package to fall through the door at about 10am this morning and here we are. Hed Kandi World Series Paris. After the successful and floorless Nu Cool album last month does this new cd from Hed kandi match up to my expectations of a World Series Cd. Yes it does!!CD1 starts with The Brand New Heavies "what do you take me for" followed by Kings of Tomorrow's " 6pm". Both good tracks but for me the next track is my favourite on this Cd. Funkerman's " The one" which is a quite electronic and dark song but the bassline makes it a great warm up track for some of the songs to come on CD2.You've then got good tracks from artists Anthony acid, Hott22, Melba Moore and the great track "What else is there" from Royksopp. There are many more great songs on CD1 but I have to say SOLU MUSICS "FADE" is a great track, different mixes just seem to appear on every cd, which you'd think would be too much, but it isn't... They just seem to get better mix after mix!!CD2 starts with a Beach House tune DJ Gregory's "Elle" followed by songs from Artists Kerri Chandler, Quentin Harris and Karizma. ( In my opinion quite dark and definately for the late hours of the night but still good tracks.) The next good track is Red Carpet's " Alright" which is an alltime favourite of mine. Great track!!!My favourite track on CD2 is Paris Avenue's " I want you" which if i'm honest, i would buy this cd just for this track!!Other good tracks are Mark Knights "Insatiable" and another great track from Royksopp "49 Percent".If you like funky basslines, you'll love every track on CD1 and if your into REALLY DEEP, DARK, TWISTED house music, its all here on CD2. CD2 is a little dark for me which is why it's lost 1 star but definately worth buying just for CD1!!They've done it again.....A blinding CD!!
