Not all 'Across A Crowded Room' CDs are the same!This 1992 re-mastered version from Beat Goes On has more depth, more resonance and more character that the original 1985 PolyGram release.Other changes include losing one track, Shine on Love, and rearranging a few others to provide a new perspective on this riveting work.Although much care has been lavished on the re-mastering, the cover art has been shot from a copy of the original artwork ... making it a little washed out.But, it doesn't matter. This AAD recording gives this CD the lift to be among Richard Thompson's very finest.
