Whitesnake - Saints and Sinners (1994) Retail CD

added on February 3, 2007, at 02:55 by allcdcovers| I'd say that the title exactly sums up the content of this album. There are some saints (Crying In The Rain, Here I Go Again, Rough and Ready), but there are definitely some sinners too (Victim of Love, Bloody Luxury, Dancing Girls, Saints and Sinners). The whole record is split into the very good and the very ordinary. Don't get me wrong - I love Whitesnake, and I think that Coverdale is the best rock-blues singer still around. I just don't think enough care was taken when writing the fillers on this record. The band play them well enough, but by the end of the album you're looking forward to putting another Whitesnake record on instead. However, if the only versions of "Crying..." and "Here I Go Again" that you've heard are on 1987, buy it, and listen to Mickey Moody's guitar work. It makes a refreshing alternative to Jon Sykes, Adrian Vandenberg, etc etc. | |
