Magnum Thunderbolt (1985) FS R3 Custom DVD

A threadbare plot runs crookedly throughout the production, challenging even the most attentive of viewers to make logical sense of whatever event happens to be transpiring at the time. However, in between these fleeting moments of coherence lies a true masterpiece of sleazy kung fu-related exploitation, a seemingly meaningless display of sex, drugs, and violence held together with grit, grime, and a greasy glue-like substance. Additionally, the degenerated bootleg I had the pleasure of viewing was horribly dubbed, a job which was apparently tackled by a small band of British teenagers high on their wicked stepmother's ether supply. All of these random, poorly-executed elements do manage to construct one monstrously entertaining cinematic beast, a true cult classic just waiting to be discovered by raving martial arts maniacs and connoisseurs of pointless Z-Grade trash. Horrible, yet oddly compelling. Good luck finding a copy. | |
