We're excited to announce the availability of the AllCDCovers API (http://www.allcdcovers.com/api) which enables you to interact programmatically with AllCDCovers in an easy and fast way. The API is of course available to everyone free of charge.

I think this API feature is a great new addition but I'm not sure how to get a API user name and key. I sent a message (I think) to the right place but I haven't heard back. If anyone knows for sure how to sign up to use the API let me know. thanks!

To use the API you must apply (http://www.allcdcovers.com/forum/sendmessage.php) for an API Developer user name and key.

My apologies for this.
We have a huge queue of API requests and are currently waiting for more server resources before we can issue more keys.

I figured that's what it was. It is a really great idea. Anyway, thanks for letting me know. Do you have any guesses as to how long it will take? Thanks

We are issuing several keys on daily basis so my guess your turn will arrive in a matter of days and not weeks :)

I am new to this site and pretty excited about it. Can't wait to have a go at the API. Is the queue still pretty huge?

I asked API key over a week ago and still got no response. So how long it takes?

All API requests have finally been replied.
My apologies for the delay but we were overwhelmed with the number of requests.

Not wanting to pester or bug anyone, but it would be nice for my API request to be approved. I'm eagerly awaiting it. :)

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the API Request info? I submitted on the weekend and do not have any reply as of yet.
Thanks

There are currently over 150 users waiting for their API key issued.
Unfortunately we have limited server resources and as a result we are prioritizing websites over applications

Just wanted to ask, how are you saving your pictures? Normal file-format, coded to database, zipped format, other? I applied for the API (as so many others) hoping to use it on a website, but I realize there might be an awful lot of people wanting it.

Hi,

I applied a week ago for an API key and did not receive a response. I submitted a second request yesterday because I did not know if the initial request had been recieved. Can someone provide an update on the status of the API keys?

Thanks,
James
