That happens when you rate a cover before downloading it. Try to refresh the page as that usually helps and rate the cover after you've finished downloading it.

I use Google Chrome and the only time I get that message with that symbol is if I rate a cover before I download it. I never rate a cover before I download covers, but that's the only way I could replicate the problem. Let me know how you make out.

sopaw62,
Once in a while a member gets this problem and has claimed to have tried everything....in some cases, it turned out that they had computer hardware/software problems. In other cases cases, they had pop up blockers installed blocking downloads from this site. It could be several reasons....I'll ask you some questions and give you some suggestions and we can take it from there....
1. can you download covers from other cover sites?
2. is your internet connection....wireless, broadband or dial up?
3. which browser are you using and is it updated?
4. what computer operating system are you using?
5. which antivirus, spyware, firewall, pop up blockers etc. are you using?
6. is your firewall blocking downloads from this site?
7. do you have more than 1 antivirus installed and running at the same time?
-you may have some computer issues, if it was working better before, try to do a system restore and see if that helps
-depending where you live and what type of internet connection that you have and on the size of the covers you were trying to download, the server may have timed out....
-make sure when you're downloading covers, that you're not downloading files of any size as that may cause downloading issues
-is your firewall blocking downloads from this site?
-I used to use norton many years ago and had a lot of issues with it. I don't use it anymore. I use Kaspersky....there is a trial version or you can try one of these antivirus programs....

I prefer Avast, AVG and AntVir....in that order
These questions and suggestions are a starting point and hopefully your problem can be solved soon.

And I'm the one who always preaches If all else fails, try reading the directions! Worked fine this time. Before, though, when I tried save as, the resulting photo was "all_cd_covers". That threw me.

Who's preaching? I'm trying to help you and I wrote the directions, what's wrong with them?

No no, you misunderstand! I was simply saying I forgot my own rule. Believe me, Stochem, I appreciate every bit of help, including reminding me of what I've told others when something they've tried to put together fails to work.

Your HP laptop is faster, newer and better than mine. You have a 64 bit Vista, whereas I have a 32 bit.
I know a couple of years ago, Vista 64 bit had a lot of software and compatibility issues, but that shouldn't be a problem now...
When downloading covers, do not change the assigned file name before downloading because you won't be able to download it. Download the cover first and then change the file name after you finished downloading the cover. Then rate the cover, if you wish after downloading is complete.
Let me know if this helps?

When I try to dopwnload images I regularly getv this message in an image:
Yes we do have the cover you are looking for, but no, we can't show it to you.
You've most likely clicked on an old link to this cover, or something else has gone wrong.
Why? I'm not getting it wrong. It's sporadic, and tempral, i.e. trying again later I get the actual image (but have to clea rmy image cache on the browser to actually see it else I have this annoying message image cached - which is for that reason a really dud way of reporting the error!).
This happens so often, I mostly don';t even bother with AllCDCovers and use CoverParadies instead. They have generally as many covers, albeit often slightly lower res, but they always deliver.
I experience this when I use AlbumArtDownloader and it may be because I am placing many requests on teh AllCDcovers server at once through multiple instances of AlubumArtDownloader all working on one album in my collection that I'm trying to image (to save me the slow process of scanning the blighters). So I'm thinking it may be a loading issue.
WHatever it is, no other code art server (and AlbumArtDownloader polls buckets of them) exhibits this frustrating problem. And alas occassionally I admit, AllCDCovers is the only one that has a given cover and hence I'm obliged to patuently nab the covers using a browser and repeated trials if I want it. Borderline whether scanning the originals would in the end be less work.
Anyhow, seems like a bug to me, and I finally thought I'd report it. I searche dthe forums for mention of this message and found nothing so conclude either it's not been discussed or reported, and/or it is mnot something others experience ...
I attach the image that I regulalry receive in lieu of covers.
