Beatles For Sale Remastered 1964

As you know I have been abroad for the past 10 months in Thailand and I have just returned to a mountain of mail etc which will take some time to clear.

Anyway I was looking for some information about a set of bootleg beatles CD's I aquired over there and I noticed that one of the CD's is listed on site but with the wrong information about what it actually is. I have clicked the report problem button but I now think that I need to give more information about it.

The cover in question is Beatles For Sale Remastered 1964 which clearly it is not. What this cover actually is, is part of the bootleg series I have just managed to obtain which is a Japanese Bootleg series issued in 2000 of the MFSL authorised series of vinyl stereo releases made by the Mobility Mobile Sound Lab in 1986. None of these releases were ever transfered to CD until this bootleg series was issued a few years ago. The covers are very rare and I was surprised to see one on site so it might be useful to have it described for what it is.

The Beatles Box Collection Set is in fact the complete collection of the stereo master vinyl albums made by this recording studio and if my memory serves me well they came in a very strong lockable wooden type box which is very very collectable. I wish but I'm afraid I don't have and if you could get I think you are talking in 10's of thousands of dollars or pounds for the complete set with its original box. The collection was never transferred to CD despite many requests to do so as this was the first real attempt to digitally master the Beatles recordings but you know what the Beatles were originally like when it came to releasing things on CD.

The recording studio went out of business in the late 20th Century and low and behold a Japanese company released a Bootleg series of these stereo mastered albums in CD format using the same code numbers as the original vinyl albums. This Beatles For Sale Album is number 4 in the series.

I now have the complete set of CD's but they are presently sealed and I will keep them that way for some time so there is no likelyhood of me loading the covers anytime soon.

I hope this helps explain what this CD cover is.
