Hello Friends!

I am mostly interested in High quality covers and try my best to prefer HQ covers instead of low ones but I noticed that in this way my ranking drops in competition. Instead of upload 5 low quality covers around 1MB size for all I prefer to upload one 3-4MB cover.

Now my feedback for point system is that this is not fair, it force uploaders to share junk with users instead of high quality covers.

I know this would be difficult to figure out a formula to calculate a value of one high quality cover but if you don't encourage us to upload good quality covers there will be no more users uploading HQ covers.

What forum administration says about this?

Should I also go for normal covers and maintain my position in competition.

Best,

hello hitman911!

I think all people like HQ covers! the best of the best uploader and top competitor pontiac give thousands and thousands of covers in HQ. but if one is a cover in LQ, upload the one that. I (and many others) scan my covers in PNG 300dpi for sites of music lovers and after convert in jpg format and upload here and also upload HQ covers (convert png to jpg) of friend.

What do you want to say?

If you are from different score for the HQ covers for the best uploaders would not change anything, in fact, in my view would increase the difference.
I never counted them one by one but I think that covers HQ for top uploaders, in percentage are in greater quantities than those in LQ.

I hope that you have understood what I meant, sorry for my bad English

:)

When I approve covers, I'm approving the best quality covers possible. If you try to replace a member's covers or your own covers, your covers must be of higher quality.....a cover that is larger in size or dimensions has to be higher quality in order to be approved against the existing covers.

Hitman911, I have deleted a few of your covers since you've joined the site and I've explained the reasons to you many times before.....I have deleted your covers for the following reasons....

-covers uploaded to wrong titles
-bad quality
-compressed covers
-duplicate covers
-wrong covers
-mixing retail & custom covers to the same title
-trying to replace members covers including your own with bad quality covers
-mixing region codes.....for example: R1 title with R4 front and R2 cd.
-badly cropped covers
-covers that are not straight
-text errors/wrong/missing release year etc. in manual uploads

Some of your covers are uploaded correctly.....it is up to you to check your covers and to make sure that you are uploading them correctly and that the quality is good. If not, then you are creating extra unnecessary work and some of your covers required work in order to be approved.

I will not replace an existing members good quality covers with any members low quality covers and I'm sure everyone understands and agrees with that.
