Hi , I have been copying my casettes and LPs to CD and dowloading cover for presentation.
I use the CD Covers using a UHU Prit Stick , making sure the reverse side , playing side is clean.
I find my Cd player gets ratty on the last tracks of the Cd , I have tried the copied CDs on another Cd player and they work fine. Obviously there is a problem with my CD player which works fine with original cds. Has anyboy else experienced these problems

question - would it be better not to use the cd Covers

From my own experience, I've had problems with discs that have labels playing on my cd and dvd player and computer...The label sometimes is off balance and the laser has to work harder to read the disc and tends to over heat and causes reading problems...

When it comes to discs, you're better off using a marker, using printable discs or using light scribe discs....if you continue to use labels, you may have problems playing some of them.

I've had the same problem with stick on labels. The problem is due to the label shrinking after a while and this bends the disc to a dish shape, this means at the outer edge the laser is too far from the disc to read it.You can check this by placing the disc label side down on a flat surface and checking if there is a gap under the centre, should be none.I wouldn't recommend anyone using labels instead invest in a pack of printable CD's and a printer that prints them, looks much better especially with images downloaded from this site!!!
