So what's the point of buying it if you already have them? What market are they trying to target? People who have only just started to get into crasher I guess.
The new songs on here are pretty good, but nowhere near as ground breaking and original as the first 10 (yes, TEN!) GC albums. (excluding Digital possibly)
I wish they'd just stuck to the standard GC mould using a good DJ (Scott Bond) who mixes well and chooses new fresh tracks no one has heard of. On this album, no Scott Bond, (or any famous DJ), no massively fresh tracks, average mixing. (compare it to Wet, Red, Black, Discotech, etc and it doesn't come close mixing wise)
However it is ok, far better than the 2 classics albums (which were just money making schemes- why would any gatecrasher fan in their right mind re-buy the songs they already own in a slightly different order??)
My guess is that these recent albums are further and further away from the real club and don't really have any connection with GC anymore apart from the name, like Ministry of Sounds's albums recent demise into commercial albums rather than true albums. You can tell that by the company who distributes them, it isn't the Gatecrasher label anymore.
if you like this album, hunt out all of the other gatecrasher albums- Black, Red, Wet, Discotech, Global Sound System, Discotech Generation, Digital (chilled CD is awesome), Experience, Digital Trance, Resident Transmission 1 & 2, Live in Amsterdam/Kuala Lumpur.
Even tho this album is ok they are far better in every way.
All the above still sound good now 8 years on from the first album.
