View Full Version : help with print size
Can anyone help please ive been trying to print dvd covers only thing is thay print to big covering 4 pagers of A4... Can anyone help please...thanks
Covers are scanned at high resolution that usually results in larger prints unless properly resized.
I'm using a free program called coverxp (http://www.coverxp.com) that automatically takes care of this and prints them in the correct size.
thanks thats been a big help..
ive Downloaded that program u said.. how do i work it? the cover loads on one half and and prints out really small.. i just dont understand how to work it..

cd.cover.++ is also free - and easy to use.
If you have photoshop you can print them directley from there as well.Just be sure to rotate cover 90 degrees left or right before printing. And Image size should be around 10.8 inches in width and height 7.25
I always resize any cover I download for a great fit.
1. First I open the download in Windows paint. I do this because sometimes the JPG file will show several "blue lines" in Photoshop CS3 (I don't know why it does this weirdness). Then I save it as a BMP.
2. Then I open the BMP in Photoshop CS3 and increase the pixel depth to 300 (most downloaded covers are between 72 and 96 pixels).
3. Then I resize it to H= 7.183 inches x W= 10.737 inches and save it to my HDD.
Graphics for DVD discs are no problem. I have an Epson printer (Stylus Photo R220) which resizes automatically and prints right onto the blank DVD.
