(besides how to spell)

i know it might already be somewhere else in the forums, but i'm not really good with searching unless it can be googled (and i've tried to no avail) but my question is this:

can you use lightscribe to burn these disc labels onto a disc or will it just turn out a garbled, undecipherable mess?

i've burned rinky dink labels before, like johnny's pix or boner jams '03, but i've never tried to "etch" whole cd labels onto a disc with lightscribe. obviously the colors won't be right, more like a black and white image i would imagine, but can it be done? is it advised? anyone wanna punch me in the face yet cuz i asked one question and segwayed into 3 more? lol. seriously folks, any help is appreciated.

Yes, you can use lightscribe to print your covers. I've done it but didn't like the results. Lightscribe will only print in tones of grey. It may look alright in some cases when the cd cover is black and white to begin with.

You can also burn your cover (lightscribe) twice. the contrast will be much better. On my discs it works fine and the label is printed exacly over the first one (automatically)

Good Luck

PS it works the best for covers with a lot of colors in the original.

There is an option in the LightScribe control panel which increases the contrast so the label looks darker, if you apply this setting the labeling takes longer (approx. 20 mins per disc) but it always looks good, so there is no more need to burn one over the other... just check your LightScribe control panel.
Download the latest software from the LightScribe website if you cannot find such settings.
